Marta Magini will be in residence at Almanac during the month of April.

Her practice moves between performance and visual arts, exploring the possibilities of the body and the relationship between gesture, time, and inertia. Through repetition, slowing down, and minimal units of movement, her work investigates the threshold between mobility and immobility, placing subject and object in tension.


During the residency, Marta will develop Swinging (episode II), continuing the research initiated with Swinging is like saying no no no (2023), focusing on oscillatory motion and the conditions in which movement is reduced to the point of becoming almost imperceptible.


The residency will be accompanied by sound artist Nicola Di Croce, activating a dialogue between sound and movement research.


The final performance will be presented on April 26 at OGR Torino.

Marta Magini sarà in residenza da Almanac nel mese di Aprile 2026.

La sua pratica si muove tra arti performative e visive, indagando le possibilità del corpo e la relazione tra gesto, tempo e inerzia. Attraverso ripetizioni, rallentamenti e unità minime di movimento, il suo lavoro esplora la soglia tra mobilità e immobilità, mettendo in tensione soggetto e oggetto.

Durante la residenza, Marta svilupperà Swinging (episode II), proseguendo la ricerca avviata con Swinging is like saying no no no (2023), focalizzata sul moto oscillatorio e sulle condizioni in cui il movimento si riduce fino a diventare quasi impercettibile.

Il percorso sarà accompagnato dal sound artist Nicola Di Croce, attivando un dialogo tra dimensione sonora e ricerca sul movimento.

La performance esito della residenza sarà presentata il 26 aprile alle OGR Torino.
