New Gen 2026
Open Call15 April—04 May 2026
Turin
New Gen is a training program developed in collaboration by Almanac, Cripta747, and Mucho Mas!, aimed at artists under 30 who are at the beginning of their careers and active in Italy, with particular attention given to artists based in Turin.
The program will take place in Turin starting in June 2026 and consists of an intensive three-week course structured around workshops, group discussions, mentoring sessions, and research activities. These will be hosted across the venues of the three organizations and are based on a learning-by-doing approach and peer-to-peer exchange practices.
Activities include workshops, collective discussion sessions both on-site and off-site, portfolio reviews, and meetings with artists, curators, and other professionals. The program unfolds in constant dialogue with the curatorial teams of Almanac, Cripta747, and Mucho Mas!, who will support participants throughout all phases, leading up to the realization of a final group exhibition. This exhibition will open in the last week of October 2026 at Almanac, in conjunction with Artissima – International Fair of Contemporary Art.
The program is oriented toward developing critical, project-based, and relational skills, with the aim of supporting participants in the early stages of their artistic careers and fostering their professional development.
Workshops will take place during the following periods: June 1–5; June 8–12; June 22–26, 2026.
Deadline: May 4, 2026
A maximum of seven artists will be selected, including four based in Turin and three active across the national territory.
From July through October, the work will continue through online feedback sessions and mentoring, supporting the development of participants’ projects.
