On Monday, October 6th, 2025, Almanac opens the doors of its Studio in the new space at Corso Novara 39 for the presentation of Giulia Damiani’s residency.

Giulia Damiani is an artist, writer, and researcher based in Amsterdam, she works with text and performance.

During her weeks in Turin, Giulia has carried forward the research for the project Apology for Fire, focusing on the development of the script and the composition of the sound repertoire. This project weaves together sound, fire, voice and movement and has evolved within Almanac’s studio through practice and experimentation, as well as through encounters with key figures in the city who are conducting research in these fields.

We look forward to sharing with you the first steps of Apology for Fire.

Lunedì 6 ottobre 2025, Almanac apre le porte del suo Studio nel nuovo spazio di Corso Novara 39, per la restituzione della residenza di Giulia Damiani.

Giulia Damiani, artista, scrittrice e ricercatrice con base ad Amsterdam, lavora con il testo e la performance.

Durante le settimane trascorse a Torino, Giulia ha portato avanti le ricerche per il progetto di performance Apology for Fire, concentrandosi sull’elaborazione dello script e sulla composizione del repertorio sonoro. Questo progetto intreccia suono, fuoco, voce e movimento e si è sviluppato nello studio di Almanac attraverso pratica e sperimentazione e grazie ad incontri con figure chiave della città che conducono ricerche in questi ambiti.
