This walk will focus on the bodily, mnemonic, and emotional aspects of our relationship with the urban environment and its socio-ecological change. Through a shared and nomadic memory exercise, we will try to reconstruct the traces we have composed and scattered among bodies, the environment, and smartphones, to recognize and bring out the subjectivity of the environment and the bodies themselves that traverse it.
This walk is free and open to a maximum of 20 people. Comfortable clothing and suitable shoes are recommended. Participants can stop at any time.
Banchetto della rinascita is a moment to share the feeling of the Earth and its rhythm, which emerges in the succession of seasons, marked by solstices and equinoxes. An opportunity to celebrate the cycle of life through a simple experience: gathering, cooking and eating together. As we eat, we intervene in things to make them assimilable, and in doing so, the barriers between inside and outside fall away; we directly experience decay and rebirth. Eating, listening, smelling, palpating, tasting: these are all ways of knowing both the world and ourselves in the reciprocity that binds us to vibrant nature.
The guiding idea of the Banchetto is the elements: earth, air, water and fire, which have been the common basis of all that exists for millennia. We share these roots with everything in the world, from the largest to the smallest, and we are as diverse as we are simple and akin to nature. Raw materials will be linked to the season and physiological cycles, cooking methods will trace ancestral traditions of transformation.
The meal will include flavors and recipes collected from the community of Orti Generali, to make the Banchetto a moment of sincere exchange between those who live it and those who visit it, and activate the collective memory of a place through the tastes that each person keeps in the archive of their affections. Food is a vehicle for sharing, a means of creating horizontal relationships. It involves man's being-body, his being vibrant matter and agglomerate in continuous evolution.

As the final event of the day, the Ethereal Society of Poetry will read a selection of poems discussed in the reading groups of the past weeks. The theme of rebirth, central to the program and the texts, will be an occasion to celebrate the spring equinox. The event is open to all. Those who wish can contribute to the reading by bringing texts.

Lucilla Barchetta (Italy, 1988), writer and anthropologist.
Lucilla Barchetta is a non-binary anthropologist and PhD in Urban Studies. Their interests intersect the topics of environment, multispecies health and technoscience. They are the author of the book La rivolta del verde. Natura e rovine a Torino (AgenziaX, 2021), in which they delve into the hidden history of Turin's riverside areas to reveal the intrinsic politicity of urban ecology.
Paolo Bosca (Italy, 1996) philosopher and researcher.
Paolo Bosca is a PhD candidate at the Universities of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo and the University of Turin, he collaborates with IUAV and Ca’ Foscari University in Venice and he is a member of the collective Spazio Vacante. He works on the theme of space, combining philosophical research with field experience to investigate the relationships between agricultural or gastronomic practices and the perception, ecology and use of territories. He has collaborated on projects and talks in Italy and abroad. His most recent published texts include Synchysis. The path of fluid knowledge (Vesper) and Disertare la crescita (Il Tascabile).
Debora Incorvaia (France, 1987), chef and artist.
Debora Incorvaia graduated at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Bourges and is a member of the Académie Nationale de Cuisine. Incorvaia combines food, art and ecology to create "edible works", culinary performances, sculptures and installations. Their research explores ancestral cooking techniques, fermentation techniques, cooking and ancient recipes.

Ethereal Society of Poetry (ESP) is a project conceived by Davide La Montagna and Deborah Martino, born from the desire to raise awareness, promote, and make poetry accessible through group readings. ESP is conceived as a platform to get together and share thoughts on poetry with the wish that its format informed by presentations, readings, conversations, or roundtables open to all, can take place wherever it is possible to gather and discuss in a free and safe environment.
The project is realized by Almanac Inn, Castello di Rivoli Museo d'Arte Contemporanea, and Orti Generali.

Questa passeggiata si concentrerà sull'aspetto corporeo, mnemonico ed emotivo della nostra relazione con l'ambiente urbano e il suo cambiamento socio-ecologico. Attraverso un esercizio di memoria condivisa e nomade, proveremo a ricostruire le tracce che abbiamo composto e disseminato tra corpə, ambiente e smartphone, per riconoscere e far emergere la soggettività dell'ambiente e dellə corpə stessə che lo attraversano.
Questa passeggiata è gratuita e aperta ad un massimo di 20 persone. Si consiglia abbigliamento comodo e scarpe adatte. Chi partecipa può fermarsi in qualsiasi momento.
Banchetto della rinascita è un momento in cui condividere il sentimento della Terra e del suo ritmo, che emerge nel susseguirsi delle stagioni, scandito da solstizi ed equinozi. Un’occasione per celebrare il ciclo della vita attraverso un’esperienza semplice: raccogliere, cucinare e mangiare insieme. Mangiando, interveniamo sulle cose per renderle assimilabili e così facendo cadono le barriere tra dentro e fuori, sperimentiamo direttamente il decadimento e la rinascita. Mangiare, ascoltare, odorare, palpare, assaggiare sono modi per conoscere e conoscersi nella reciprocità che ci lega alla natura vibrante.
L’idea guida del Banchetto sono gli elementi: terra, aria, acqua e fuoco, che da millenni costituiscono la base comune di tutto ciò che esiste. Condividiamo queste radici con ogni cosa del mondo, dalla più grande alla più piccola, e siamo tanto multiformi quanto semplici e affini alla natura. Le materie prime saranno legate alla stagione e ai cicli fisiologici, i metodi di cottura ricalcheranno le tradizioni ancestrali di trasformazione.
Il pasto comprenderà sapori e ricette raccolti presso la comunità di Orti Generali, per fare del Banchetto un momento di scambio sincero tra chi lo vive e chi lo visita, e attivare la memoria collettiva di un luogo attraverso i gusti che ciascuno conserva nell’archivio dei propri affetti. Il cibo è un veicolo di condivisione, un mezzo per creare relazioni orizzontali. Coinvolge l’essere-corpo dell’uomo, il suo essere materia vibrante ed agglomerato in continua evoluzione.

Come ultimo evento della giornata, Ethereal Society of Poetry leggerà una selezione di poesie discusse nei reading group delle scorse settimane. La rinascita, tema centrale del programma e dei testi, sarà occasione per celebrare l’equinozio di primavera.

Lucilla Barchetta è antropologə e PhD in Studi Urbani. I suoi interessi intersecano i temi dell'ambiente, la salute multispecifica e la tecnoscienza. È autricə del libro La rivolta del verde. Natura e rovine a Torino (AgenziaX, 2021), nel quale approfondisce la storia delle aree fluviali di Torino per rivelare l’intrinseca politicità dell’ecologia urbana.
Paolo Bosca (Italia, 1996) filosofo e ricercatore.
Paolo Bosca è dottorando presso l’Università di Scienze Gastronomiche di Pollenzo e l’Università di Torino, collabora con lo IUAV e l’Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia e fa parte del collettivo Spazio Vacante. Lavora sul tema dello spazio, combinando la ricerca filosofica all’esperienza sul campo per indagare le relazioni tra le pratiche agricole o gastronomiche e la percezione, l’ecologia e l’uso dei territori. Diplomata all'École Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Bourges e membro dell'Académie Nationale de Cuisine, Debora Incorvaia combina cibo, arte ed ecologia per creare “opere commestibili”, performance culinarie, sculture e installazioni. La sua ricerca esplora tecniche di cucina ancestrali, tecniche di fermentazione, cottura e antiche ricette.
Ethereal Society of Poetry
Ethereal Society of Poetry (ESP) è un progetto di Davide La Montagna (Italia, 1992) e Deborah Martino (Italia, 1997) nato dalla volontà di sensibilizzare, divulgare e rendere accessibile la poesia tramite letture condivise e partecipative. ESP è concepita come una piattaforma per incontrarsi e condividere pensieri sulla poesia, con l'auspicio che il suo formato composto da presentazioni, letture, conversazioni o tavole rotonde aperte a tuttə, possa svolgersi ovunque sia possibile riunirsi e discutere in un ambiente libero e sicuro.
Il progetto è realizzato in collaborazione tra Almanac Inn, Castello di Rivoli Museo d'Arte Contemporanea, Orti Generali.
